Public Housing

The CIIC through the Cook Islands Investment Corporation Act 1998, is responsible for the management of the Government’s housing portfolio.

The Government housing portfolio provides housing for:

  • Members of Parliament representing Pa Enua constituencies
  • Assistance to low-income households
  • People from the Pa Enua with little to no access to land ownership on Rarotonga
  • Specialist public sector employees from outside Rarotonga

An application must be filled out by potential tenants. To verify eligibility, all applicants will go through a screening procedure. Eligible applicants will be placed on a wait list until a residence becomes available.
